For a standalone hypermarket-style scale that prints its own barcode the moment an item is weighed, posflect doesn't rely on one fixed barcode layout. Instead, a Scale Barcode Profile describes exactly how a specific scale or label printer encodes a weight or price into a barcode — how many digits are the prefix, how many are the item code, and whether the remaining digits mean weight in grams or a price already calculated.
