Every item posflect can sell — from a retail product to a made-to-order dish — lives in the product catalog. Each product has a unique internal SKU and an optional barcode, so the same SKU can even be sold under more than one scanned barcode. A product belongs to a category and a base unit of measure, carries its own selling price and cost, and can be assigned a tax group that decides how tax is calculated on it — or left tax-exempt.
Key capabilities
- Turn stock tracking on or off per product, so made-to-order dishes or service charges never need a fake inventory count
- Set a reorder point on any tracked product to trigger an automatic low-stock alert
- Sell in alternate units besides the base unit, such as a "Box" of 12 "Pieces", with fractional quantities when needed
- Mark a product as sold by weight, pulling its quantity from a connected scale and printing a weight-embedded barcode
- Upload a product photo shown in the product grid and edit screens
- Attach a single discount, tiered quantity discounts, or a bundle offer, resolved automatically at checkout
Staff can deactivate a product without deleting it, and every price or discount change is reflected live at the point of sale.
