A Purchase Voucher is a store-credit instrument in posflect, redeemable as its own payment method on any future sale. It can be sold directly to a customer at checkout for real money, using its own permission separate from ordinary selling, or it can be issued automatically as the refund when a return's chosen refund method is "voucher" instead of cash or wallet credit. A voucher can be tied to a specific customer or left anonymous — a bearer instrument redeemable by whoever holds the code, exactly like a paper gift card.
Every voucher gets a unique, cashier-typeable code, and its balance only ever moves through a recorded transaction — issued, spent, or forfeited — so the full history is always auditable and the balance can never silently drift. A voucher issued from a return can be configured to expire after a set number of days; one sold directly stays open-ended.
