Every thermal printer at a branch is registered against the Print Agent machine it's plugged into, either as a network printer reached by its IP address, or as a USB printer installed as a print queue on that machine. One printer per branch can be marked default, so sales print there automatically and manual "Print Receipt" clicks default to it too. A printer can also be flagged as having a cash drawer wired into it, since a drawer opens through the same connection as the receipt.
Receipt Templates control exactly what prints, without needing a full page designer — a thermal receipt has almost no layout freedom beyond top-to-bottom lines, bold, centering, and cutting. Toggle your logo, header/footer text, tax breakdown, cashier name, customer info, a barcode, order/invoice number, and date/time; relabel the subtotal/total/payments lines for another language; choose normal or large print size; and pick 58mm or 80mm paper. A template can apply business-wide or be overridden per branch.
