Custom fields let a business extend a built-in page with its own extra fields, without any development work. Today this is wired into the customer record, so a business can capture whatever matters to it — a membership number, a preferred branch, a referral source — right on the customer form.
Field types & smart dropdowns
A custom field can be plain text, a number, a date, a yes/no checkbox, or a dropdown. A dropdown's choices can be typed in by hand, or pulled live from a table in the system — countries, zones, cities, categories, branches, or units of measure — so the list matches real, current data. A dropdown can even cascade off another field, narrowing zones down to just those inside a previously chosen country.
- Add text, number, date, checkbox, or dropdown fields to the customer form
- Back a dropdown's options with a live, curated system table instead of a fixed manual list
- Chain a dropdown to filter its choices based on another field already chosen
- Reorder custom fields, and reposition the record's own built-in fields, on one visual layout canvas
- Keep field definitions and their permissions to manage separate from who can simply view or edit a customer's values
