The Expenses feature lets you record any outgoing payment — rent, utilities, supplies, or anything else your business pays out — against an expense category you define, such as "Rent" or "Utilities". Each category can point to a default ledger account, so every expense recorded in it automatically debits the right account without your bookkeeper picking one each time; categories with no default fall back to a general expense account.
Every expense you record — the amount, payment method (cash, card, or bank transfer), date, description, and an optional photo of the receipt — automatically posts its own journal entry the instant it's created, keeping your books and your expense list in sync with zero extra bookkeeping steps. Like journal entries, an expense is never edited after the fact: correcting one means voiding it, which reverses the linked journal entry and flags the expense as voided, so both the expense list and the ledger stay honest about what actually happened.
