Posflect ("we," "us," or "our") provides point-of-sale and business management software to companies ("tenants") and their staff. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through posflect.com and the Posflect platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of this website and to the businesses and staff that use our platform.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few different ways, depending on how you interact with us.
- Information you give us directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, and company details when you request a demo or contact us
- Information your company enters into the platform once you're a customer, including staff accounts, customer records, product catalogs, and transaction data
- Usage and log data, such as pages visited, browser type, and timestamps, collected automatically when you use our website or platform
- Billing and subscription information, such as your plan, billing contact, and payment confirmation details, processed through our payment provider
How we use this information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve Posflect, including to:
- Set up and support your account, and respond to demo requests and support questions
- Provide the features you and your staff use every day, such as checkout, inventory, staff permissions, and reporting
- Send account-related messages, such as welcome emails, login credentials, and subscription renewal reminders
- Monitor the security and performance of the platform, and prevent misuse
- Communicate product updates and, where you've agreed to receive them, marketing messages
How we store and protect your data
Every company that uses Posflect gets its own fully isolated database — one tenant's data is never stored in the same database as another's, and there's no shared table any tenant's staff could query into a different company's records. We apply industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls limiting who can reach production systems, and we review these safeguards as the platform grows.
No online system can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect the information you and your customers trust us with, and we notify affected customers if we become aware of a breach affecting their data.
Third-party service providers
We work with a small number of service providers to run Posflect, including a payment processor to handle subscription billing and an email delivery provider to send account and notification emails on our behalf. These providers only receive the information they need to perform their service, and they're not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Data retention
We keep your company's data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we retain your data for a limited period in case you want to reactivate, then delete it, except where we're required to keep certain records (such as billing records) for longer under applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. If you're a customer of one of our tenant businesses, please contact that business directly, since they control their own customer records; if you're a tenant or a member of a tenant's staff, contact us using the details below.
Cookies
Our marketing website does not use tracking cookies. Your language is detected directly from the page URL rather than a stored cookie, and the visitor analytics we use (see our Trust & Security page) are cookie-free by design. We don't use cookies to build advertising profiles or sell your information to third parties.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date below and, where appropriate, let existing customers know.
